ZAMOZZA KA MAZZA

Amazing entrance with the mirrors on the side walls with hundreds of yellow light bulbs on the ceiling. This narrow walk way takes you to a huge dining area of ZAMOZZA with outdoor seating as well. It uplifts your mood while walking on this walk way which leads to the place with decent décor adorned with classy, pastel colours.

His passion for food has made Vidur Kanodia , an Engineer by profession, to open these restaurants “Shiv Sagar” a pure vegetarian delight and now ZAMOZZA with Italian, Lebanese Mexican cuisines. The location is again a plus point as they are in the heart of the city in Janpath,CP.

Well trained and courteous and also enthusiastic staff, I am sure it will go great guns !

TANDOOR & GRILL AT CHARCOAL

Charcoal has been

used since earlier times for a large range of purposes including medicine, art. It was used

where an intense heat is required. Cooking food with the medium Charcoal gives distinct aroma. Here CHARCOAL TANDOOR & GRILL is a  small cosy place, simply done up with indoor as well as outdoor sitting. Easy to locate, on a busy road. The place is lively with glass wall. They are serving Indian Tandoor and

European Grills.

Had Refreshing Virgin Mojito alongwith Ceaser Salad and Wings On Fire….well done sweet and salty. Cottage Cheese Skewers were just perfect. Charcoal Platter …Nimbu Chicken & Muttom…Chicken was very well done, soft & juicy…Mutton was fibrous..hard to chew. Veg Platter…..Tandoori Broccli, Panner Tikka, Tandoori Aloo , Tandoori Mushroom……The Platter was great with Broccoli with creamy texture, stuffed Tandoori Aloo. Non Veg Platter was again well made but would prefer if they use less of colour and the mutton was again hard to chew.

Now comes the Grills….NewZealand Lamb Chops …very well done , soft and tender with perfect marination. Fillet of River Sole….perfectly grilled served with tangy dip and mashed potato.

Butter Murg, Mutton Curry and Methi Matar Malai ….all done with balanced spices served with Tandoori Roti, Lachha parantha and Laal Mirch ki Roti. Even if you are full, the aroma of the food gets you on !

Hot Chocolate Truffle with Ice Cream is great to complete the lunch.

To sum up all the Starters and the Main Course…..are inviting with the courteous staff to cater to !!

FOOD WALK AT TAWAK

The name of the recently launched restaurant TAWAK is derived from Sanskrit…called Cinnamon which is one of the most revered & traded spices , the ancient Spice Trade…..so the TAWAK…an endeavor to take along the foodies to rich flavors of Indian & Oriental Cuisines, inspired by the traditional cuisines .
The fifty plus cover restaurant is come up in Sector 63, Noida with an open Terrace . The décor will take you to by gone era…..the ancient coins hanging at the top, rope lamps , bright red standing lamps, photo frames adorned the walls, the exposed brick wall……

Impressed with the Thai Puchka served with the sweet & sour tasty concoction in Tequila glass. Cucumber After Work mocktail was refreshing with cucumber base but the Jasmine Tea & Ginger Elixir….with pomegranate juice was little over sweet. Got to know that no artificial colors are used here.....which is very good !

Tandoori Paneer Roll…stuffed with cheese and dry fruits …was soft and tasty. Galouti Kebab with Ulta Tawa Parantha was awesome, melted in mouth and the way it was presented was also good. Awadh Ke Shole-Chicken Breast stuffed in creamy marination & slow roasted in tandoor was creamy n perfect. Cantonese Fish….steamed with Cantonese style white garlic sauce ..i found it too soft.

Dahi Kebab were great and crispy from outside & creamy from inside, Bhutte ki tikki …shallow fried corn patty with creamy yoghurt as topping good . Crisy Water chestnut were okay.

Kho Soi was marvelous….the way it was served was great, it was like make your own Kho Soi…with the ingredients and toppings provided separately. Thai Curry was perfect.

Walnut Topped Brownie with Chocolate Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream was delicious but didn’t like the presentation…was served in a bottle looking messy. Silk Cake was not so silky, but was not bad with biscuit base.

All the best to Team TAWAK !!

ZAI KA ZAIKA

The most happening place in South Delhi is GK and the most happening place for Food , Drinks and Events is none other then ZAI, a cosy place
to relax and enjoy with friends, owned  by young entrepreneurs Saurabh and Mickey Mehta .
Décor is of British Era with the use of lots of Teak Wood , Glass, wooden flooring  with elegant  Pendent  Lamps for ambient illumination. Approximate 100+ cover restaurant with indoor as well as outdoor patio seating. Different style of seating with high benches and comfortable couches . A well equipped bar with some best of concoctions.

Lady At The Beach …a Vodka based cocktail ,  with a nice bluish green colour was refreshing.

Veg Platter ….had Dahi Kebab, Soya Kebab, Hara Bhara Kebab and Paneer Tikka . Didn’t relish much Dahi Kebab as it was more sweetened and was lacking Dahi. Soya Kebab was again bit dry.

Lemon Fish …sole fish with lemon flavour ..well done and served beautifully  with yellow, red bell pepper .

Black Pepper Spicy Chicken…..was good with juicy chicken and was really spicy.

Fettuccine with Grilled Chicken and Garlic Bread…..right seasoning , well done chicken and very crispy Garlic Bread…..was great.

Dal Makhani  as usual or generally is tasty and the Palak Gosht ….was not spicy and somehow found it quite average. The idea of serving is good with burners on the table !

Brownie with Ice Cream ……must have !!

Best wishes to team ZAI !!

Just behind DT MEGA MALL in Gurgoan is a small Hotel ATARA. It’s there for almost two years owned by a young lady Rituu who is passionately involved with every detailing from the very beginning. Causal dining restaurant,  the Café is brightly naturally lit. Earlier it was only for in house guests, now it is open for all.  Simply done up with  the Wall paper on the wall with picture of antique carving on wall and door gives a feel of bygone era with depth. Their emphasis on serving good food which they are dotting on.

Started with Bel Ka Sharbat, which I found too sweet. Fire Roasted Pepper Soup made with Red Bell Pepper with honey was a bit sweet again. Smoked Chicken Soup tasted good with aroma and chunks of Chicken.

Watermelon and Feta Cheese Salad was too good with crunchy Watermelon and soft Feta Cheese. Apple and Prawn Salad dressed in Honey , Mustard was delicious and 100 % marks for the presentation of salads .

Chargrilled Butter Garlic Fish…perfectly done and served with mashed potato and veges. Mutton Galouti with Ulta Tave ka parantha …very soft, just melted in mouth .Prawn Panacea….Grilled and wrapped around marinated prawn was served with tangy sauce.

Bhuna Gosht…well done with perfect and balanced spices with Lachcha Parantha …delicious.

Date Cigar…Sesame Dates rolled in Pastry Sheet served with Vanilla Ice crème…. and the Chocolate Crepe….rolled chocolate crepe with Vanilla Ice crème drizzled with choco sauce… not to be missed. Kivi Ki Phirni was lacking sweetness and required more of Kivi Chunks.

Impressed with overall experience !!! Great going team Atara !!!

FOOD JOURNEY AT THE PIZZA EXPRESS......Stylish and elegant decor with authentic Italian Cuisine.....

It’s been a long journey since it’s inception in 1965 in WARDOUR STREET, LONDON and one of the leading brands, the PIZZAEXPRESS is come up in Ambience Mall, Gurgoan. One of the best Authentic Italian Cuisine restaurant and the first one to have Open Kitchen concept . One can see the Pizza made in front of you with the fresh dough and ingredient sourced from Italy, to make the dishes more authentic.

The restaurant is very spacious with a rugged yet stylish and elegant look with exposed smashed brick, polished timber and distressed mirror metal work. The distinctive Screens create the right amount of privacy.

The children can have fun while creating one’s own Pizza there.

Goat’s Cheese Salad …Chargrilled Italian Vegetables with soft goat’s cheese was fresh whereas the Watermelon & Goat’s Cheese Salad…..sprinkled with onion…I felt , the onion spoiled the taste.

I feel Pizza Express is already the benchmark for their authentic Italian Pizzas

The thin crust pizzas with fresh ingredient …jalapenos, roasted red & yellow peppers, button mushrooms, mozzarella, Italian sausages , ricotta, spinach…….mouthwatering , crispy, tasty. In short, no comparison !

Pastas…..Linguine Alla Genovese…linguine pasta with potatoes, green beans, pesto and cream…very very delicious….Penne Siciliana….Penne pasta with basil, tomato, chilli, mozzarella was okay.

Their signature dish POLPETTE…Chicken meat balls in chicken Bolognese sauce with fresh parsley, galic and chilli oil ….soft, not very spicy .

Mouthwatering, delicious desserts…Chocolate Fudge Cake…freshly baked served with mascarpone cheese.
Banoffee Pie…banana and toffee pie on a crispy biscuit base again served with mascarpone…awesome....to die for !!
With great ambiance, good food and excellent service the Pizza Express is here to stay !!!
