Nawabon ke shahar Rampur se some delectable delicacies are brought here at Cafe on 3, Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar. Home Chef Taj Bi is the brains behind this food fest for three days. A very distinct flavor of the food we relished. A little bit here n there with the spices and the method of cooking makes it delicious yet distinct. Let's say, if Tadka is done before n after you cook the dish or you add or miss out one or two spices to the dish you cook regularly, the dish will give somewhat distinct taste.
Kachche Gosht Ki Tikki, Rampuri Fried Fish, Palak Ki Pakodi, Arbi Ke Pakode, Dahi Batasha......all starters were done well with less of spices, to get the best taste of the main ingredient used to make them.
Tar Gosht.....Gosht with very thin gravy which was used to be like that in earlier days, so it was named as Tar Gosht. Murg Nargisi Kofta..... boiled eggs coated with minced chicken done in thick gravy. Khichda......a meal in itself made with Gosht, Lentils, Wheat and spices, first cooked separately as it takes different duration to cook all these and then again mixed together and cooked to get best result. Sultani Mash Ki Dal.....dry urad dal with tadka. Although the Gosht is the most loved food of Rampur, yet vegetables are also liked and cooked mixed with Gosht. Tori Ki Subzi, Bhune Palak Gobhi, Ghiya Ka Bharta, Rampuri Pulao.....all made in Rampuri style.
Qumimi Seviyan......dry crisp delicious seviyan, Adrak ka Halwa...... lipsmaking ginger Halwa I had it for the first time and relished it to the core. Nariyal Wali Kheer..... fresh raw grated coconut and rice cooked with milk, again wonderful. Shahi Tukda....done with bread and Rabadi.
Thanks team Holiday Inn and home chef Taj Bi for this wonderful experience.
